IHPP Foundation Participates in the UHC High-Level Forum in Tokyo On 6 December 2025, the IHPP Foundation participated in the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) High-Level Forum held in Tokyo, where global leaders convened to advance political commitment and action on UHC. This event also marked the launch of the Tokyo UHC Knowledge Hub, a new initiative by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, the Ministry of Finance of Japan, the World Health Organization, and the World Bank.
The Tokyo UHC Knowledge Hub has two overarching objectives: (1) Capacity building, and (2) Advocacy and convening. Through a four-stage approach, the Hub aims to strengthen national strategies for UHC by:
- Co-designing learning pathways with participating countries, based on priority needs and involving representatives from both Ministries of Health and Finance
- Providing online and in-person training and leadership retreats
- Supporting national implementation processes
- Facilitating results sharing across countries
A featured session focused on the UHC Hub brought together ministers from Cambodia, Ghana, Indonesia, and Egypt (members of the first cohort of the UHC Knowledge Hub), as well as global partners including the World Bank, WHO, JICA, and the PMAC Strategic Institute. IHPP’s Dr Suwit Wibulpolprasert and Dr Angkana Lekagul served as moderator and speaker for the session, respectively.
Overall, the launch of the Tokyo UHC Knowledge Hub marks a significant milestone for global health cooperation. The IHPP Foundation team was able to engage in meaningful discussions with the secretariat team of the UHC Knowledge Hub, laying a foundation for future collaboration between the Tokyo UHC Knowledge Hub and the PMAC Strategic Institute—specifically the PMAC Global Health & UHC Hub—through activities such as capacity building workshops, research activities, advocacy for UHC in global forums, and more.
มูลนิธิเพื่อการพัฒนานโยบายสุขภาพระหว่างประเทศ (IHPP Foundation) เข้าร่วมการประชุมระดับสูงว่าด้วยหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้า (UHC High-Level Forum) ณ กรุงโตเกียว เมื่อวันที่ 6 ธันวาคม 2568 ซึ่งเป็นเวทีเปิดตัว “Tokyo UHC Knowledge Hub” ความร่วมมือระหว่างรัฐบาลญี่ปุ่น WHO และธนาคารโลก (World Bank) เพื่อขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาศักยภาพและการสื่อสารเชิงนโยบายด้าน UHC ผ่านการออกแบบเส้นทางการเรียนรู้ร่วมกับประเทศสมาชิก การจัดฝึกอบรมทั้งออนไลน์และออนไซต์ การสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานระดับประเทศและการแลกเปลี่ยนผลลัพธ์ระหว่างประเทศ โดยในการเสวนาระดับรัฐมนตรี มูลนิธิฯ มี นพ.สุวิทย์ วิบุลผลประเสริฐ ทำหน้าที่ผู้ดำเนินรายการ และ ดร.อังคณา เลขะกุล ร่วมเป็นผู้บรรยาย การเปิดตัวครั้งนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญของความร่วมมือด้านสุขภาพโลก และเป็นโอกาสสำคัญที่มูลนิธิฯ ได้หารือแนวทางความร่วมมือระหว่าง Tokyo UHC Knowledge Hub และ PMAC Strategic Institute โดยเฉพาะ PMAC Global Health & UHC Hub ผ่านกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เช่น การจัดเวิร์กช็อปพัฒนาศักยภาพ งานวิจัย การผลักดัน UHC ในเวทีนานาชาติ และอื่น ๆ ในอนาคต “จงเจตน์เมธีวิชญ์” เป็นเวทีสำคัญในการยกระดับผลงานวิจัยของนักวิทยาศาสตร์ไทยให้มีบทบาทบนเวทีโลก
